Citycar ushering in the new Daewoo family feeling
The Kalos is a citycar produced by Daewoo from 2002 to 2008. It was sold in Europe until 2004 under the Daewoo brand and then under the Chevrolet brand.

BRAND: Daewoo

MODEL: Kalos

YEAR: 2002

BODY TYPE: Citycar

POWER SUPPLY: Combustion

CATEGORY: Production car

DESIGNER: Fabrizio Giugiaro

The design of the Kalos began as the successor to the Lanos and was approved by the South Korean automaker's top management in 2000. Styling was entrusted to Giorgetto Giugiaro: the Kalos was conceived as a car that would suit a very large and wealthy audience, so much so that Giugiaro proposed a traditional but innovative line that would usher in Daewoo's new family feeling. The first version, called the Kalos Dream, was shown at the Paris Motor Show in 2000, and the final version, which would go on sale, at the Geneva Motor Show in March 2002. The styling abandons the classic curved forms that have characterized Daewoo production to adopt an angular style devoted to greater sportiness, to meet the demands of the European public in particular.
