Panda 4x4 Strip

Panda 4x4 Strip

Fiat
Never got past the one-off stage, but was imitated by many
The Strip was Giugiaro's proposal of a multipurpose car essentially intended for young people: for off-road driving, leisure time, the mountains and the beach.

BRAND: Fiat

MODEL: Panda 4x4 Strip

YEAR: 1980

BODY TYPE: Citycar

POWER SUPPLY: Combustion

CATEGORY: Concept car

DESIGNER: Giorgetto Giugiaro

It was also equipped to be used as a pick-up work vehicle for all those companies that operate on normally uneven or especially slippery ground during the winter months. The Strip mounts the same mechanical assembly as the Offroader. In its "strip" version the car sports a windshield (more upright than in the production model) that, hinged at the windshield base, can be flattened down and fastened to the hood. The cross-piece of the door was kept intact and acts as a central roll-bar. The rear beams, cross-piece and C-pillars were instead built into a separate subassembly that could be dismantled.
