In 2008, the heir was put on the market as a special version, painted sage green and numbered on the side by means of a frieze; the Campagnola follows the Iveco Massif, launched in the previous year, with which it shares engines and structure. The Campagnola takes its cue from the original off-road vehicle offered by the Fiat brand in the mid-1950s, with a three-door body. It also provides for a 176-horsepower 3.0 HTP diesel engine, standard ABS, central locking with anti-theft system, manual air conditioning, leather upholstery and steering wheel, body-color roof and rear window wiper. Production of the Campagnola began in late 2008, ushered in by the first 499 examples of the Opening Edition.

Paying homage to the Manta Bizzarrini, the prototype recovers the MPV outline, characterized by a continuous profile, from the short nose that takes advantage of the windshield's inclination to the tail mirror. One enters the cabin “standing up” through an upper hatch that includes the side doors. Opening is upward in the upwind direction controlled by an electric button and regulated by proximity sensors. The load-bearing architecture of the electric all-wheel-drive prototype is the carbon monocoque, on which the noble parts made of aluminum and special steels are assembled, while the windshield and roof glazing are made of UVA-filtered laminate. The super sports car was created with the cooperation of Toyota, which provided its most advanced hybrid system, the Toyota Hybrid Synergy Drive.
