The Peralta S, a mid-engine, rear-wheel-drive sports car, is a futuristic car made entirely by hand from fully exposed, mirror-polished aluminum, with the special feature that there is no visual difference between the glazed surfaces and the body, creating a monolithic effect.

It is distinguished by numerous original styling elements, the result of Giugiaro's experience and continuous drive for innovation: above all, the spectacular opening of the “dome” in a single movement. The Peralta S is a dream car with strong references to the past, in particular to the Maserati Boomerang prototype designed by Giorgetto Giugiaro in 1971.

The side view is characterized by a silhouette with one seamless line: nose, roof, tail with only two edges. Even from above, the surfaces are flat and continuous. In plan the Peralta S is teardrop-shaped with closure in the rear, while the front end is simple: all the lights are enclosed and hidden in both the nose and rear.

The only nonaluminum parts are the front spoiler, rear diffuser and side sills, all of which are made of exposed carbon fiber. The rear is characterized by the integrated spoiler that lifts up and the taillights that are hidden underneath: when lit they create an interesting “shadow light” effect.

Giotto

60 years ago the young Giorgetto, whilst at Bertone, contributed to the design of the iconic Bizzarrini 5300 GT. Many years later, in the present days the link is reborn: Giorgetto and Fabrizio have captured elements of the most legendary Bizzarrinis of all time and reinterpreted them for the modern era, with a tribute to the memory of Giotto Bizzarrini, founder of the car company of the same name.

The prominent dual bonnet vents of original Bizzarrinis are evolved into a new frontal visual character for Giotto. As the ultra slimline LED headlights converge in the centre of the bonnet they cradle the prominent centre-mounted Bizzarrini badge, just as it was framed on the 5300 GT.

In profile, Giotto is marked out by a reimagining of the 5300GT’s triangular B-pillar and a rear windscreen that wraps so elegantly it seems to cascade onto the wheel arches. Being rear-mid- engined, the predatory stance of Giotto is a visual representation of the enormous power delivered through its rear wheels. Located beneath the curved lines of the rear screen is the exclusive Bizzarrini V12 engine being produced in partnership with Cosworth.

Pony Coupé (2023)

  • Brand: Hyundai
  • Subtitle: Never stops being futuristic
  • Intro: The influential Pony Coupé, that young Giorgetto Giugiaro created for Hyundai’s debut at the 1974 Turin Motor Show, and whose prototype was lost, was rebuilt in 2023.

    BRAND: Hyundai

The original Pony and Pony Coupe Concept, designed by Giorgetto Giugiaro, were one of those rare creations that influenced the designs of not just one but multiple Hyundai production and concept vehicles, including the award-winning IONIQ 5 and attention-grabbing N Vision 74. Since the original concept car didn’t exist anymore, Hyunday commissioned GFG Style to rebuild it based on its design philosophy, “Shaping the future with legacy”.

The Pony Coupe Concept’s origami-like exterior features flowing geometric lines, a sleek roofline, pure unadorned surfaces, dynamic proportions, a uniquely shaped B pillar. It boasts an extremely graphic surface treatment with bumpers painted in body color. Its wedge-shaped snout and circular headlamps distinguished it in 1974 and still look ultra-stylish today. Its coda tronca (‘cut-off tail’) has a slim hatch to provide access to the back of the car. The minimalist interior showcases an iconic sensibility highlighting the monocoque design and driver-centered floating architecture. A single-spoke steering wheel and two-toned slim-line bucket seats reinforce what was in the 1970s a futuristic aesthetic.

GFG Style, under the guidance and supervision of Fabrizio Giugiaro, harnessed the resources and technologies of its style center for a different goal than usual: to recreate a vintage model whose original prototype has unfortunately been lost. Starting with drawings and technical diagrams from the period, archival photos and a Hyundai chassis, it was possible to make a journey through time, and bring a vehicle swallowed up by the past back into the present.

GFG Style developed a new stylistic family feeling, consistent and declined for each of the architectures created for Laffite Automobili, the new car brand founded by Bruno Laffite. Under the stylistic direction of Fabrizio Giugiaro, GFG Style designed and built the Atrax, an extreme Hyper SUV withstanding also extreme off-road use, with a more road-going version named the Atrax Stradale. The Barchetta is unique, with its double windshield and independent cockpits, which, with the closed variant, changes physiognomy to become Barchetta Coupé, truly a model on its own. The Laffite LM1, on the other hand, is a sports car derived from endurance racing but homologated for the road.

The fronts of all 5 models have the same design sequence: lower spoilers, horizontal bar integrating the light clusters, and air outlets on the well-shaped hoods and, above all, the lit DRL lights that give the real hallmark.

The halo was interpreted by drawing inspiration from safety innovations adopted in racing. Well evident on the Barchetta, it’s the true distinctive feature of the brand. On the sides, the B-pillars have the same graphic pattern, but decidedly different proportions and functions. On the other hand, the rears of the cars are more personalized, with many functional elements in common, such as the diffuser and the spoilers that integrate the typical Formula1 tail light.

When it comes to the interiors, the styling language has the same features for all models, using the same elements, an example of which are the tailor-designed vents and ceiling lights.

Vision 2030 Desert Raid

  • Brand: GFG Style
  • Subtitle: Extreme off-road version of the Vision 2030
  • Intro: Created to underline the true capacity of the Vision 2030 project: not simply a Hyper Car but a Hyper SUV.
  • Technical specifications:

    BRAND: GFG Style

    MODEL: Vision 2030 Desert Raid

    YEAR: 2020

  • Designer: Fabrizio Giugiaro
  • Time period: 2015/Now
  • Production: Concept Car
  • Type: SUV, Off-road
  • Power supply: Full-electric

If the original Vision 2030 from which it derives has multiple settings, capable of moving at high performance speeds anywhere and on any terrain, the Desert Raid was created to perform mainly off-road. The main feature is the setting with a single high attitude and suspension system specifically for extreme off-road use. The configuration designed by Fabrizio Giugiaro sees the indispensable visible spare wheel become part of the style, with a large boot, unusual in traditional two-seater cars. Even the colours are very particular, with advanced internal equipment compared to the 2030, optimized for off-road use, rougher but without renouncing to comfort.
